Filling pies.-A device for filling pie casings with minced meat or the like comprises a cylindrical vessel 1 which is slidably arranged on the rod 4 of a piston 3 forming the bottom of the vessel 1, the end wall 5 of which is perforated and provided with a flanged extension 7 grooved at 8 to facilitate manipulation. The piston 3 may be perforated and its outer surface is concave. In operation the vessel 1, which is of such size as to contain the required weight of meat, is filled and inserted in the pie casing 2, the vessel being then pulled upwardly on the rod 4.
