Spring devices.-A torsion-spring device for controlling links, shackles, &c. of spring forks or frames of motor-cycles &c. comprises a tube 1 to be secured to the fork, frame, &c. and containing a spindle 2, the ends of which are secured by nuts 6 to caps 3 forming parts of arms or links 4, torsion springs 7 being fixed to the caps 3 and to a block 5. The block 5 is held against rotation in the tube bv a clamp constituted bv the central part of the tube, which is formed with a longitudinal and two transverse slots and with two lugs 10 on the edges of the longitudinal slot, the lugs 10 receiving a nut and bolt. The strength of the springs may be adjusted by loosening the clamp, rotating the arms 4, and then re-clamping the block 5 in its new radial position relatively to the tube 1. The springs are fixed by squared ends thereon engaging square recesses in the caps 3 and block 5.
