Inclined rails and ways for loadhandling.-A track frame 4 is pivoted on a tower 15 and is operated by hand so that a load trolly 8 on the track is raised from the position A shown in broken lines until it runs by gravity to the delivery end B of the track over the wagon to be loaded. The raising of the load is assisted by springs 26 or by an equivalent single spring arranged nearer to the pivot. The track frame is retained in the position shown in broken lines by a spring catch 29, which may be released by a pedal 30 or automatically by the weight of the load. The track frame may be provided with adjustable extensions 25 at the delivery end, a strut 24 to rest on the wagon, and an operating chain 23. The tower may be portable and is provided with slotted bearings 20 for the pivot pin 12 of the track frame. A series of pivot-pins such as 12 may be provided so that the track frame may form a lever with arms of various lengths. The trolly is restrained by a stop 14 at the loading end of the track frame, and by brackets 141 on the trolly frame extending beneath the top flanges of the track rails. A raised roller 10 on the front end of the trolly keeps the load in a convenient position for removal.
