Covers, wagon and like.-In covers for trade vehicles of the kind comprising a stationary hoop and one or more movable hoops which may be connected by folding bars and are adapted to be slid or to run, by means of endless chains or the like, on rollers on one or two pairs of guide rails arranged alongside the vehicle body, the guide rails are detachably secured to the vehicle by means of clamps. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the guide rails 1 are disposed inside of and parallel to, the top rails 2 of the vehicle, and a stationary hoop is secured or clamped to one end of the rails 1 and to lower body rails 5, while a movable hoop 8 is adapted to run on the rails by means of rollers 9. A pivoted stay 10 is provided for supporting the hoop 8 in the desired position and for tightening the hood, which is secured to the hoops in any desired manner. In the form shown in Fig. 5, two movable hoops 17, 17a run on two pairs of rails 1, 1a by means of rollers 9, 9a and an endless chain &c. 19. The hoops are held in their extended positions by pivoted links 18. In Fig. 6, the hoops 23 - - 25 are shown pivoted in such a manner as to lie one upon the other when desired.
