220,373. Baxter, Ltd., W. H., and Baxter, W. H. May 15, 1923. Swivelling joints. -A rotatable steamtight joint is formed between a pipe 39 and a block 37 provided with radial outlets 28. The pipe 39 has a flange 38 which fits between a shoulder 34 in the block 27 and a steel ring 37 confined by packing 33 and a gland 35 secured by set-screws 41. The steel ring 37 may be of larger diameter than the flange 38 and bear against a shoulder a in the block 27. leaving the flange 38 a certain amount of play. The axial bore 31 in the block 27 may be made right through the block, the blind end being then covered steam tight by a plate.
