Surface treatment with liquid materials.-A vehicular apparatus in which bituminous material is delivered by a pump to a vertical pipe c which feeds a horizontal spraypipe d, has the valves c2 of the spraying nozzles separately controlled by upright spindles q supported in a transverse rail p. The spindles can be readily rotated by an attendant seated at o on a hinged platform n which also serves to mask the spray. The tar is delivered through a filter b to the pipe c by a pump a1 driven from the road wheels, and the height of the spray-pipe above the ground may be adjusted by a screw connection between the pipe c and the filter b. The gutters may be sprayed by an extension of the pipe d controlled by a valve g1.
