Theatres. - Apparatus for the production of settings for moving pictures comprises a building divided by a plurality of transverse " theatrespaces " 10, 11 where, the pictures are taken, the spaces 10, 11 being separated by " utility spaces " 15 where the settings are prepared on movable stages 12, 13 running on rails 14. The spaces 15 a.re preferably twice the width of the theatre spaces, and each stage preferably comprises two halves, each of which may suffice for one setting. One large theatre space 11 may be provided to take four stages. Runways 16 lead to a tunnel 17 by which live stock may be led to and from the building. Stage properties are stored in rooms 22 at the back of the, stages. Sliding doors- 23 are fitted, and the central parts of the utility spaces may have several storeys, stairs 32 and lifts 31 being provided. Platforms 24 carrying lights 25 are placed on the side walls, and are raised by cables 30 to enable a stage to be wheeled in.
