Propelling; stopping way.-A series of air jets or propellers C1 - - C4 are provided along the front edges of the planes of an aeroplane to produce currents of air at an angle to their surfaces in order to produce sufficient lift to make up for the loss of support due to decrease in speed caused by a drag device. The drag may comprise two vertical surfaces A1, A2 which may be moved together to act as a rudder or turned towards one another when required to act as a drag. The propellers also produce air currents against the tail and drag planes. The machine may have one or any number of main planes. Specification 10947/10 is referred to.
