Gratings.-A metallic fabric suitable for openwork flooring, grids, gratings, &c., and of the kind in which strips of sheet metal are connected by tongues c, is provided with clamping bolts d. The tongues c may be bent or riveted, or may engage with a driving fit, or be slack. In a modification, the bars are not actually pierced but are formed with interengaging projections and depressions instead of tongues.
