257,053. Graham, E. A. June 29, 1925. Loud-speakers.-A bowl-shaped reflector 1 is provided at one side with a depressed portion 2 on to which sound from a conduit 3 impinges and from which the sound is reflected angularly on to other parts of the reflector, and is there further reflected through the outlet orifice of the bowl. The depressed portion is bounded by flat sides 2a so as to form a pocket-like recess. The telephone receiver may be located in a base 5 with the reflector supported on a foot 5a as shown in Fig. 2. or the whole apparatus may be contained in a casing 6, Fig. 3, provided with a door 6a to facilitate adjustment of the receiver. The conduit may pass round the exterior surface of the reflector as shown in Fig. 3, or round the interior of the reflector in a groove therein.
