摘要
264,884. Rieseler, W., and Kreiser, W. Jan. 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Screw and like propellers.-Diametrically opposite wings of a freely-rotative supporting wing- system are rigidly built upon a single spar rotatable about its longitudinal axis. In the aircraft shown, a rotatable vertical shaft b is mounted in a bearing a in the fuselage and a bearing c in a pyramidal superstructure s, and carries at its upper end four brackets d provided at their ends with ball-bearings e, in opposite pairs of which are journaled the spars h1, h2, on which the wing surfaces F1 - - F4 are mounted in such positions that their centres of lift p are behind the spars with respect to the direction of rotation of the system. In rotation, the advancing wing F3 of a pair receives a greater lift than the opposite retreating wing. This lift acts at the centre of lift p behind the spar h2, reduces the incidence -of the wing F3, and thereby rotates the spar, causing an increase in the incidence of the retreating wing F1 and a consequent equalization of the lift on the two sides of the aircraft.
