摘要
266,660. Schmidt, F. March 1, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 248,781. Plastic compositions containing cellulose derivatives and albumens &c.-The process of the parent Specification is modified by the employment of hardened albuminous substances such as artificial horn waste, instead of unaltered albumens. According to an example, 30 parts of moist cellulose and 15 parts of camphor substitute (e.g. triacetin) are worked up with 50 parts of artificial horn waste which has been swelled in hot water, or a mixture of water and chlorhydrin, and 5 parts of colouring matter, until a film is produced practically free from water. The film is ground to a powder from which articles may be moulded under pressure and heat, or small articles may be punched from the film, pressed, and heated.
