Syringes.-A tubular medicament container 1 for use with hypodermic and like syringes is closed by cylindrical rubber or like plugs 2, 3 of uniform cross section, one, or both of which are provided with recesses 4 to facilitate piercing by a cannula. The plugs are preferably slightly larger in cross section than the tube 1 and are compressed thereinto; they are thus made selfclosing on withdrawal of the cannula. The container is filled aseptically after sealing by withdrawing air and introducing medicament through needles inserted through the plug 2. Specification 248,285 is referred to.
