Mineral and tar oils, purifying.-In the process according to the parent Specification the residue after the first distillation with aluminium chloride is extracted with concentrated sulphuric acid instead of with sulphurous acid. 15 to 20 per cent of acid having a gravity of 66‹ BÚ. is preferred, hut acid having 10 per cent of water or 20 per cent additional SO3 may be used.
