Magnetic instruments ; receivers utilizing gaseous resistance effects.-In a method for converting electric oscillations into acoustic oscillations by molecular variations affecting the dimensions of a magnet, two magnets provided with soft iron cores and coils on each iron core are arranged with their dissimilar poles opposite one another to form a closed magnetic field. The magnets may be maintained under air or other gas pressure or under a fluid, and may be arranged in sound-boxes for amplification.
