Emulsions, making.-Asphalt or like bituminous material at a temperature, for example, of 325‹-350‹ F. is added to an aqueous suspension of colloidal clay at about 150‹ F. and the mass agitated to form an emulsion, the temperature being so controlled as to prevent coalescence of liquid bitumen. The process may be made continuous. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 151,029, 174,114, and 244,135.
