Moulds; processes; modelling, artistic.-Casts of the face or other parts of the body are obtained by applying to the surface a layer of elastic gelatinous material which has no injurious action upon the body and dries quickly, and backing with pieces of gauze &c. to reinforce the resulting negative. The material may be agar-agar dissolved at a temperature of 100‹ C. and applied at a temperature of about 20‹ C. to form a layer 3-4 millimetres thick. The invention may be applied to the reproduction of diseased parts, wounds, &c.
