Vehicle fittings.-Means for suspending a loading hopper i beyond the side of a railway wagon so that it may be filled from the wagon and discharged into a vehicle beneath comprises cantilever arms f, g which are supported on posts a on the side of the wagon, extend towards the opposite side, and are there held down by ropes l, this arrangement preventing lateral strain on the sides of the wagon. The arms g may be telescopic. The posts a are fitted with brackets c1 which hook over the side b, and with adjustable collars d with clamping means to engage beneath the sole bar e. The ropes l are anchored to the sole bar m by screw clamps. The loading-hopper i is suspended from tackles k at its ends. The tackle may be suspended from a runner and moved inwards towards the wagon to clear the cab of a lorry. Skips.-The hopper i is provided with a hinged door i1, the hinge pin i3 moving downwards in slots i as the door is pushed forwards by linkwork connected with a hand-lever o. Wheels p are provided for movement on the ground.
