Coating-compositions.-To prevent rancidity developing in the vegetable oil constituent of plastic compositions for coating fabrics, paper, and the like, about 2 per cent. of magnesium oxide relative to oil is added. The invention is especially applicable to coating compositions consisting principally of nitro-cellulose, camphor, vegetable oil, and pigments or fillers. Specification 256,654 is referred to.
