July 10, 1928 Tools.-An improved skimmer attachment for use with coulters of ploughs, skin ploughs, &c. has its front plate A fitted with a gripper by which it can be attached to coulters of any size and a plate B, with a single cutting edge or reversible cutting edges, adjustably fastened to the front plate by bolts G, H in elongated slots E, F. The gripper for attaching the plate A to a coulter J is made of two members K, L, the latter being an integral part of the plate A to which the member K is hinged, both numbers being formed with elongated slots M, of a size to allow coulters of the maximum breadth and thickness to be held between the members. The space between the members is varied and maintained by the bolt N in the elongated slots and in the front plate A is formed an elongated slot P into which a part of the front edge of the coulter projects. Specification 200,400 is referred to in connection with the provision of a plate with cutting edges attached to the front plate of a skimmer.
