Electric killing-appliances.-Apparatus for exterminating greenfly, dolphin, aphis, and other insect pests on plants consists of a trembler coil operated bv a battery 2, the terminals 14, 15 of the secondary coil, giving a very high voltage, being connected respectively to a metal spike 21 adapted to be inserted in the earth near the plant, and to a metal plate or strip carried by an insulating handle 17 and adapted to be applied to the extremity of a part 25 of the plant infested with the pest, whereby sparking occurs momentarily between the electrode and the plant. The coil and the battery are mounted in a box provided with a carrying strap.
