The film or paper is affixed to the cylindrical carrier 27, Fig. 4, which is then inserted in the light-tight casing 28 and secured by a sliding latch 30. After the carrier 27 has been inserted in the camera 18 where it makes a friction fit on the spindle 22, the latch 30 is released and the casing 28 withdrawn by means of the handle 29 as far as the safety catch 31 will allow.
