Writing cases; blotting-appliances.-A cardboard or like case or box for stationery has its cover a, Figs. 4 and 8, hinged to the bottom of the receptacle so that when opened it will lie flat to serve as a writing pad, blotting-paper d being fitted to the lid, if desired, to serve as a blotting-pad. A single compartment may be provided as in Fig. 4, or two compartments as in Fig. 8.
