Process for reducing the oil absorption of titanium dioxide pigment

Titanium dioxide obtained by hydrolytic precipitation in known manner as described in Specifications 225,593 and 275,672, [both in Class 1 (iii), Oxides &c., Metallic], and in U.S.A. Specification 1,504,672, and which is sufficiently finely divided for use as a pigment is subjected to further grinding in a dry state in order to reduce its oil absorption number.
