[Class 86.] Relates to apparatus for supplying reagents to a stream of water under pressure of the kind in which the main is provided with a construction with connections to two containers, the arrangement being such that water from the main displaces air from one of the containers which displaces the reagent from the other container. The containers are compartments of the same vessel, and the supply of reagent is regulated by a valve which is controlled by the pressure difference between opposite sides of the construction. The vessel 5, divided into separate compartments 4, 8 by a partition, is supplied with water by a pipe 3 on one side of the construction 2, the reagent being supplied by a pipe 9, on the other side of the constriction, from the other compartment 8. The compartments are connected by a vent pipe 7 through which the lower compartment may be charged with reagent from a vessel 21 into which the compartment 4 may be discharged. The compartment 8 is provided with a sighting gauge 20, and the valve 11, controlling the supply of reagent, is regulated by a diaphragm 17 the opposite sides of which are subjected to the pressure of the main on opposite sides of the construction by pipe connections 18, 19
