An improved process for the production of a material for covering bituminous road surfaces by impregnation of fragments or gravel with bituminous materials

A material for covering bituminous road surfaces which have been sprayed with bitumen, tar, &c., or emulsions thereof, is made by mixing 1000 parts of gravel, broken stone or blast furnace slag with 4-5 parts of a bituminous substance, e.g. bitumen, tar, or tar oil.
