373,797. Signs. HAILWOOD, E. A., Beacon House, Texas Street, Morley, near Leeds. June 11, 1931, No. 16951. [Class 3 (ii).] The kerb of a street island platform is illuminated by boxes B flexibly connected together and secured to the ground or platform by cement or other means. The flexible connection may be a hinge H disposed in any position between two boxes, and overlapping cover-plates A may be provided to fill up the gaps between the boxes. The boxes may be internally illuminated, and may then have side openings to minimize absorption of light, or may reflect light from street lamps &c. The boxes have sloping front windows and may be curved to fit the kerb. Intermediate boxes may be non-luminous.
