[Class 3 (ii).] In a sign or panel comprising a back sheet of glass or other transparent material, having a rear reflecting surface of arctic or similar figured form, silvered to form the reflecting surface, and a front sheet of plain glass or transparent material which is painted or otherwise made obscure, but has clear portions through which the figured and silvered reflecting surface is visible, the sheets are connected by a strip of fabric or similar material extending around and enclosing the peripheral edges of the sheets. The sheets 1, 2 are of glass, the sheet 1 being of arctic or similar figured glass silvered at the back 5, while the sheet 2 is painted to form obscure parts 9 which surround the clear portions 10 forming letters, a border or other configurations ; alternatively the obscure parts may represent the letters &c. The two sheets are spaced by strips 3 and are connected by a strip 4 of fabric, cardboard, strong paper, &c. Either sheet may be tinted or any of the surfaces may be suitably coloured and the obscuring may be effected by silvering the parts 9, so that the different portions of the sign have different reflecting characteristics.
