[Class 74 (ii).] Hosiery produced in one working operation on a flat bar knitting frame has, in the region of the heel enlargement and down to the line b, c, b1, widened courses extending continuously over the entire width of the article. In the lower part of the heel a gore c, c1 is worked approximately at right angles or less to the narrowing line d, e', by casting on new wales, transferring outwardly selvedge loops in such a way as to make provision for seaming and subsequently narrowing on the heel portions while leaving the instep loops on the needles.
