[Class 20 (ii).] Shoring members for use in shoring frames for passages have a bolster seat 9 telescopically connected to the mainsection prop 1 by converging shanks 14 which are received in a holder at one end of the prop and are flexed therein when the prop gives. The holder may be formed by two bolts 18 passing through slots in the shanks 14, friction material 21 being positioned between the bolt nuts and heads and the shanks. The holder may be constituted by a tapered sleeve, or a tapered sleeve with side adjusting bolts to increase the pressure, and the converging shanks may be provided with tapered longitudinal bulges 26, Fig. 4.
