[Class 97 (i)] Kinematograph images are projected from images printed on opaque cards which are carried by an endless band driven by rollers of substantially equal diameters and are successively arrested in projecting position by a single stop ; the cards may be connected perpendicularly to the band so as to be slightly spaced, and the movement of the band may be effected through the medium of a second endless band upon which the first band is superposed. As shown, the cards 4 are secured to a band 10 loosely carried on a taut band 11 mounted on two or more equal rollers 12, 14. One roller may be hand-driven, and an intermediate roller 14 may be adjustable in position to tension the bands. A flange 9 arrests each card in turn in the exposure position, and the card is then illuminated by two lamps 1 in laterally placed compartments. Projection is effected by a lens 5 without the use of a reflector in the apparatus.
