[Class 142 (ii)] Each web passes through a narrow parallel - sided transverse slot a1 in a "stopper" comprising a one piece flat barlike guide member a supported by one or more rods c from the breast piece so as to be near the fabric fell. The bar a may have a transverse gap a2 in its upper or lower wall through which the webbing may be removed. The bars c may be spring mounted as shown in Fig. 4. The plate a may be used in conjunction with the known stopper comprising a bent rod. The upper and lower webs of ladder webbing are thereby woven close together and tighter weaving of gun webbing for cartridge belts &c. is assured. Specification 453,832 is referred to.
