[Class 126] In a firegrate comprising rear and front grate parts A, C, these parts, which are relatively movable to vary the depth of the grate according to the depth of the firespace, are independently supported. To vary the width of the grate, there may be provided independently supported side grate parts E or side cheeks, or the grate part A may be formed with or carry laterally projecting bars of variable length. The grate parts may all be carried by legs L, L2, or the front grate part C may be carried by the fret B, as shown. One part slides under or over another. An aperture may be provided in the fret B to receive a leg of the trivet described in Specification 408,343.
