[Class 37] The base-plate 1 of an electricity meter consists of compressed material such as an artificial resin and has inserted therein during the moulding operation a piece of light-reflecting material permitting easy examination of the airgaps in the driving-magnet system. The insert 4 may comprise tin-plate, metal foil, ivory, sheet aluminium, or a coating of enamel. The insert may be held in position while moulding by a conglomerated piece of the moulding material.
