[Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] A remote-control device for the winding gear of aerials of aircraft comprises a follow-up device, the primary member h of which is set by a handle h2 through gear wheels h7, h8 and carries a change-over switch u the operating member u1 of which co-operates with a gapped secondary member a driven by the motor of the winding gear. When the primary member is operated, the switch u is operated in one or other direction by the cam surface a9 and the motor is driven until the gap of the cam surface again registers with the switch operating member u1. The primary and secondary elements are provided with pointers h1, a' and the gearing h7, h8 is such that small movements of the handle h2 produce large movements of the member h and pointer h1. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a modified follow-up switch comprising primary and secondary drums bearing co-operating contacts. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 7168/12, [Class 38 (v)].
