Improvements in dock shores and other struts

[Class 68 (ii)] [Also in Group X] An adjustable shore or strut comprises two telescopic tubes 10, 11, the inner tube 11 being provided with groups of external stops 14, each group comprising several stops angularly spaced apart, and the outer tube 10 being provided with a single group of internal stops 12 adapted to engage any desired group of stops 14. The tube 11 is provided with centring strips 15 at its inner end. The tube 10 is provided at its inner end with a hook 16 which can be turned to pass through a hole in a stop 14, when the stops 12 engage with any group of stops 14. When the shore is to be used for supporting ships, the outer end of the tube 11 may be flared and fitted with a hard wood cap 24, and the outer end of tube 10 may be provided with a wooden block 28. Lifting eyes 18, 19, 20 may be provided.
