[Class 44] A multiple fastening for doors having a pair of oppositely moving bolts operated by a central handle comprises a casing a in which the inner off-set ends f of slidable members d, e are guided by the walls of the casing, the outer ends of members d, e projecting through and being guided by apertures in the ends of the casing, two or more aligned studs or projections k on the face of each part f, and a disc m on a spindle g, the disc having four or more radial slots engaged by the studs. The edges of the slots which are engaged by the studs in the extreme positions of the bolts may be shaped to limit the movement of the bolts, or a stop p may be provided for this purpose. Frictional resistance to bolt movement may be provided by depressions, not shown, in the casing bearing against the bolts, or by a spring or spring plunger q. Studs k may, as shown, be provided on opposite faces of the parts f to allow reversal for right-hand or lefthand operation of the spindle. The spindle, may carry the operating handle k or, for use with emergency exit fastenings, may be operated by suitable linkwork &c. from the usual crush-bar.
