[Class 102 (i)] A portable diaphragm pump comprises a casing divided by a horizontal partition C and the lower part of the casing is divided by a partition B into suction and delivery chambers a, b. Rectangular valve seats are fitted to the partition C upon which flexible valves D, E are held by bolts. The valves are made of rubber or other flexible material interleaved with metal springs. The valve seats are held in place by a bar F engaged by a nut G. The diaphragm H is actuated by a lever O. Specification 475,202 is referred to.
