[Class 5 (ii)] To prevent hens confined in laying cages from eating their eggs, a flap B is pivoted at the end of the usual sloping floor A of the cage and loads the egg to a receptacle C, the floor of which is at a lower level than that of the end of the floor A. The flap B is tilted into the position shown in dotted lines during the passage of the egg into the receptacle.
