[Class 37] In order to improve the load/error curve of induction meters, particularly the droop at overload, the current magnet core 4 is provided with a multielement shunt 2 composed of fixed magnetic parts 16, 18, that are successively saturated at increasing values of magnetic flux. Spacers 20, 21 of materials such as brass, copper or fibre are provided, and the complete shunt element is mounted on lateral extensions 24 of the magnet poles. Some of the shunt elements can be located on the underside of the extensions 24.
