[Classes 132 (i) and 146 (ii)] An educational and arrusement device for giving an impression of interstellar space comprises an enclosure in which are fixedly or movably mounted bodies representing stars, planets, &c. the bodies being rendered fluorescent by direct or reflected beams of ultraviolet light. Reflecting-surfaces serve to increase the illusion of distance. The enclosure, furniture, and supports for the bodies are coated with non-luminous black paint. The enclosure may represent a hemisphere or a complete sphere, the space for spectators being formed, if necessary as a bridge in the centre of the enclosure. The device can be combined with a track of the switchback type.
