[Class 41] [Also in Group III] Lead hydroxide is produced in an electrolyte comprising a sodium or potassium salt of an acid which forms a soluble lead salt, a lead anode being used. Suitable salts are nitrate, acetate, and chromate. The electrolyte is continuously circulated, and before it is returned to the electrolysis vessel its temperature and alkalinity are restored to the values of 15‹ C. and pH8 respectively.
