[Class 106 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In a system for measuring velocity or rate of flow of a fluid applicable as an airspeed indicator for aircraft indications varying linearly with the differential pressure along a throttle member &c. are combined electrically with indications varying linearly with one or more correcting quantities so as to give an indication which is the product or the quotient of the differential pressure and the corresponding quantity or quantities. The final indictator may be controlled in accordance with the square root of the last mentioned indication mechanically or electrically. The Provisional Specification includes a wholly mechanical arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), in which a venturi gauge and a density or pressure measuring device act in opposite directions through springs on a bell-crank lever the position of which is then a measure of the quantity H/d or H/p (d being the density).
