摘要
519,120. Carbonizing textile materials. SOC. RHODIACETA. Sept. 15, 1938, No. 26962. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1937. Addition to 439,124. [Class 15 (ii)] Textile materials containing cellulose esters or ethers are treated locally at an elevated temperature with a 'mixture of an inorganic peroxide with a chloride or anhydride of an organic acid which by mutual reaction produce an organic peroxide. The reagents may be applied dispersed in a printing paste,an organic solvent or an organic diluent not miscible with water. After heating, the fabric may be brushed, beaten or washed to remove the cellulose ester or ether portion of the fabric acted upon. In an example, a mixture of acetic anhydride, barium peroxide, benzyl acetate and ammonium sulphoricinateis thickened with British gum and printed on to a velvet having a natural silk backing and a cellulose acetate pile ; the fabric is dried, heated for 20 mins. in dry steam, dried and beaten.
