[Class 38 (ii] A transformer 16 for supplying low-voltage circuits, such as machine-lighting or inspection - lamps, is mounted on the inside of the hinged or removable lid.2 of a box 1 in the interior of which are located two pairs of spring contacts 11, 12 connected respectively to the input and output circuits and adapted to co-operate with contact pegs 17, 29 connected to the primary and secondary windings and carried by the lid so that the transformer is isolated when the lid is opened or removed. A switch in the primary circuit may also be mounted on the lid together with fuses 25 for both primary and secondary circuits. In an alternative and portable constrtiction, two pairs of output connections are brought out to sockets on opposite sides of the box and plug connectors, adapted to feed portable lamps, for example, and carrying the output circuit fuses are provided.
