546,652. Removing loaves &c. from baking-tins. BAKER PERKINS, Ltd. Jan. 22, 1941, No. 873. Convention date, July 18, 1940. [Class 28 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] Loaves, cakes, &c. are freed, and may be discharged, from the tins in which they are baked by directing a stream of air, steam of other gas under pressure into the tin between a wall of the tin and the adjacent surface of the load, the pressure being sufficient to separate the loaf from the tin. With the apparatus shown the tins in sets 2 pass from an oven 6 on to a conveyer 8 provided at intervals with cleats 9 to engage a set of tins. The conveyer is tilted at a part of its path which is provided with a guide rail 10 to align the tins as they pass an elongated nozzle 4 by which air, forced by a blower 5, is directed between the loaf and the upper wall of each tin, so as to penetrate to the bottom of the tin and raise the loaf therefrom. The loaves fall on to a conveyer 11 for removal, while the tins remain on the conveyer 8.
