Improvements in apparatus for reading off graphically the vacuity of a cask of liquor

[Class 106 (i)] A device for ascertaining the vacuity of a partly filled cask of liquor comprises a squared surface of reference A, Fig. 5, fixed to a base board and two transparent sheets B and C pivoted at the origin of the squared surface. On one of the sheets is drawn the curve of the relationship between the dry-inches and vacuity in gallons of a cask of the standard shape. The upper transparent sheet C has a pointer P marked thereon to co-operate with a graduated scale WX on the surface of reference whereby the curve can be set in accordance with variations in the bung dimensions. On the lower transparent sheet B is a pointer Q which co-operates with a scale YZ arranged on the sheet C whereby adjustment can be made to compensate for differences in the content of the casks. These adjustments set the curve for the bung and content dimensions and from the ascertained dry-inches the vacuity is read off on the squared surface.
