[Class 132 (iii)] In a toy turntable, the weight of a vehicle, such as a locomotive is used to turn or assist in turning the same on the turntable. In Fig. 1, the turntable 1 is secured to a sleeve 2 having a cam surface on its underside for engagement with a fixed pin. When a vehicle runs on to the table from the direction A, it tilts the table to release projection 5 from a stop 8 and the table descends and turns against the action of spring 9 which returns the table to original position after the vehicle has left. In Fig. 3, there is a dog clutch 12 between the table and the sleeve 2, so that after the table has turned itself and the sleeve, leaf spring 13 assists spring 9 to lift the table without turning, and to turn the sleeve back to original position. Devices are described for cutting the current when the rails of an electric railway turntable are not in alignment and for reversing the current when the table tilts under the weight of a vehicle.
