[Class 104 (i)] To prevent icing &c. of railway points &c. they are heated by hot water &c. circulating in pipes 1 arranged adjacent the points. The slide chairs 11 may be bored to form part of the circulating system, and receive spigots 12 on the water pipes. The water may be circulated by a pump or by thermo-syphon action. Two thermostats may be provided, one to start the circulation, the other to stop it, at given temperatures.
