[Class 7 (ii)] A mixing device for insertion between the carburetter and the induction pipe and comprising a short tube in which are mounted either one straight and one curved slotted metal fin of corrugated form or two similar curved fins as described in the parent Specification is modified by making a unitary construction of the two corrugated curved fins which then assume a frusto-conical shape, by making the slots oblique, and by replacing the tube by a flange formed on the fins. A strip of metal 6, Fig. 1, is slotted at one side to form closespaced narrow fingers 7 extending obliquely from a marginal portion 8 which is bent over to form a flange 9, Fig. 3, by which the device is to be held between the carburetter and the induction pipe. The fingers are then corrugated or stepped lengthwise and the strip bent round to form a frusto-conical baffle. The free ends of the fingers may be bent over to enclose a stiffening wire.
